About the event
Come discuss how farming practices, engineered solutions, stream buffers, and other conservation practices can protect stream banks in SW Wisconsin...and hold soil and improve water quality of streams spanning from WI all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
The event will start at Linda Kane's Farm (5925 Bauer Road, Avoca, WI) at 9:00am.
At 10:25am, we'll begin the tour of Dave Mellum's Farm (2686 Factory Road, Highland, WI).
At 11:30am we'll have a discussion over a (free) lunch at Dave Mellum's farm - delicious grilled burgers & shrimp caught by fishermen in the Gulf – whose challenges with nutrient build-up & biological die-off in the Gulf we seek to help through our conservation practices.
(Lunch is free, but we appreciate your RSVP so we can prepare enough food.)
