About the Farm:

 

Joe Stapleton is a farmer in Spring Green, WI and the current farmer-leader for the Uplands Watershed Group.

Joe runs Stapleton Farms with his family. Stapleton Farms is a 535-acre mixed crop and livestock farm in Spring Green. Around 300 acres is cropland, 130 is in hay, 15 in pasture, and 70 in managed forest.

Joe has learned many things from this group and based on that knowledge has been increasing the acreage in pasture, year-by-year, over the past few years. He has been no-tilling all of their cropland for a number of years after joining the watershed group in 2016.  They've also been increasing the number of acres in cover crops.
