About the Farm:

Michele Manske and her husband, Brett Rolstad, purchased a 40-acre property in the Otter Creek Watershed in 2020. They have a number of conservation projects that they're interested in undertaking, and several demonstration/research projects they'd like to pursue, including experiments with the use of mushrooms to remove the phosphorus from streams that run through their property from dairy farms upstream.

One conservation practice they plan to undertake in 2022 is expanding the 2 acres of oak savanna
on their land. They plan to prepare the site, dig 50 holes, plant 50 trees of more than one species,
and construct cages for those trees to protect them.
